Construction of an orphanage building
Ghazni province is one of the underdeveloped regions deprived of reconstruction efforts. Its residents face poverty and weak economic conditions, with most districts lacking access to development and rebuilding initiatives. Among these districts, Andar stands out for showing minimal signs of progress. In response to the dire conditions, local elders and community leaders from Andar district visited the Afghan Asia Hilal Welfare Organization (AAHWO) office to share their challenges, particularly regarding their children's education, and sought assistance and attention for the district. Following a thorough survey and assessment of the situation, the executive committee of AAHWO decided to construct an orphanage and
educational facility in Khudzaye village, Andar district. This project aimed to support orphaned and underprivileged children from Khudzaye and neighboring villages. To achieve this, AAHWO prepared a project proposal and collaborated with the international organization Green State Power to seek funding and cooperation. Green State Power approved the proposal and allocated $48,000 USD for the implementation of the project. Within six months, the orphanage was completed, equipped with classrooms, administrative offices, dormitories, and a kitchen. The facility is now operational, providing education and care to over 250 orphaned and needy children. The Afghan Asia Hilal Welfare Organization is committed to serving the country and promoting balanced development. Through the implementation of impactful development projects, it strives to create positive changes in the lives of people across the nation.
